Ajay Shah, P.E.Founder/President
Mr. Shah has over 40 years experience, which includes a strong emphasis on special HVAC, energy management systems, energy analysis, and plumbing systems for new and renovation design related to aviation, higher education, healthcare, research, public works, and defense facilities.
Doug Garrison, P.E.Senior Principal
Mr. Garrison has over 30 years of professional engineering experience as an electrical engineer, over 23 years of which have been spent with Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. Mr. Garrison manages major multi-million dollar technical projects for our higher education and healthcare clients. His attention to client service and satisfaction is a large contribution to the growth of the firm.
Jeffery Bolander, D.Eng., P.ESenior Principal
Dr. Bolander has over 25 years of consulting engineering experience and is well known for his expertise in central plant and thermal utility design, analysis, and operation. Since joining Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. in 1994, Dr. Bolander has designed and managed many projects, guided the implementation of CAD, including Building Information Modeling, and led the mechanical engineering group. Building long-lasting client relationships is his hallmark.
Doug Belisle, P.E.Principal
Mr. Belisle has over 24 years of experience, 22 of which have been with Shah Smith & Associates, Inc., in the design of low and medium voltage electrical systems, lighting, relay protection, and life safety systems for hospitals, universities, research, and other institutional facilities. He is the head of the firm’s electrical group and an expert at utilizing computer software to model and analyze electrical distribution systems.
Scott Sevigny, P.E.Principal
Mr. Sevigny has been with Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. since 1998, and brings over 20 years experience as a professional engineer and currently serves as a senior project manager. He has earned a reputation as an expert in leading challenging and complex healthcare and research projects.
Erik Dietz, P.E,Principal
Mr. Dietz has over 24 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, 23 of which have been spent working with Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. He has led numerous multi-million dollar university, research laboratory, and other institutional projects, and serves as the head of the firm’s mechanical engineering department. His attention to detail and coordination has led to the success of many technically-complicated projects.
Rickey Nietsche, C.P.DPrincipal
Mr. Nietsche has over 31 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design for an array of projects, including laboratory, research, higher education, sports, corporate, healthcare, housing, industrial, and government facilities. Since joining Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. in 1999, his expertise in new technology, such as water recycling and high-tech labs, has contributed to award-winning projects.
