Life Sciences Research & Engineering Complex-Phase I

The scope of this project was to construct a new building for the College of Sciences and Engineering on the West side of the Island Campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. This three-story building, in the Life Science Complex, houses instructional and research laboratories plus support space to accommodate the academic needs of the Department of Life Sciences and its growing graduate programs.  This was the first building in the complex.

The coastal environment offered unique opportunities for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design including the specification of corrosion resistant materials and unique humidity requirements.
