Shah Smith & Associates, Inc. provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design engineering services for the University of Houston Blaffer Art Museum Gallery Renovation.

This project renovated an existing space into an art gallery and provided the necessary infrastructure to support the space. 

• A new DX rooftop unit to serve the art museum gallery was provided.  This unit was provided with integral controls to maintain constant temperature and humidity requirements.
• Provided lighting within the art gallery to adequately illuminate artwork.

SSA worked closely with the owner and the architect to prepare construction documents so the project could be built on schedule and within budget. 

SSA designed the project to meet the University of Houston design guidelines and master specifications.
