SSA provided electrical design for the project including synchronous motor controls to improve the incoming services power factor, and a special design to start the 2250 HP chiller motors at full voltage.

This project includes the addition of two new 3000-Ton electric driven chillers, two 3000-Ton steam driven chillers, new cooling towers, condensing and chilled water pumps, new 15kV main-tie-main metal-clad switchgear line-up for two new 12.42kV CenterPoint Energy incoming services, 480V metal-enclosed switchgear and motor and control centers for the new loads.
